Jack Jorgensen (Iowa)
Bella Voce is the advanced treble choral ensemble at Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa. One of seven concert choirs and one of three treble choirs in a vibrant and growing program, Bella Voce is comprised of 40 auditioned treble singers in grades 10–12. The group is part of a robust Fine Arts department in which over 750 students participate in at least one of 16 curricular ensembles across choir, band, and orchestra. Bella Voce is known for its stylistic versatility and ability to perform a wide range of global choral literature, Particular attention given to repertoire that reflects diverse styles, compelling texts, and emotionally resonant experiences. Whether singing historical masterworks, folk traditions, or contemporary works, Bella Voce seeks to build bridges between singers, audiences, and the stories shared through music.
Jack Jorgensen is a vocal music teacher at Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa, where he directs Bella Voce, Lux, and Concert Chorale. He also serves as the director of the treble prep show choir, Hi-Style, and the music director for Linn-Mar’s annual spring musical.
Jack earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Luther College, where he sang in Nordic Choir under the direction of Dr. Andrew Last and was assistant conductor to Dr. Mark Potvin. A proud Wisconsin native, he now lives in Marion with his wife, Liz — an elementary music teacher in the district, who inspires him daily with her creativity and heart. Jack feels lucky to teach alongside such passionate students and colleagues at Linn-Mar, and is grateful to be part of a vibrant Fine Arts program that values musical excellence, personal growth, and shared joy.
